Ikon for Artists

New Show Opening: Ikon for Artists

(17 May – 31 May 2021)

Ikon reopens after lockdown, devoting its galleries to an exhibition of artworks for sale by over 250 Birmingham artists. Submitted through an open call, work in a range of media is presented both in the gallery and online. 100% of the proceeds from artwork sales go directly to the artists. Formed in response to Covid-19, Ikon for Artists aims to support local artists whose income has been impacted by the pandemic.

Artists in Isolation: How to Make a Virtual Gallery

Artists in Isolation: How to make a virtual gallery

RBSA Blog: Lucy Morrison is a Birmingham based artist who captures the diverse landscapes of the UK in expressive oil paintings and has entered work in RBSA open submissions several times. Compelled to create a space for people to interact with her work from the safety of their homes, Lucy made a virtual gallery online.

Here is Lucy’s experience of creating the virtual exhibition…  Read the full feature here
